Breath Therapy

Air is the basis of life, without breath we cannot live.  Breathing therapy is the act of conscious breathing in order to balance the system.  The experience of trauma, stress, disease and other aspects of life can create improper breathing rhythms that perpetuate the problem.  Retraining the body to breathe from the diaphragm allows for proper exchange of gases and provides space for healing.

Posture Correction

Improper alignment can lead to injury, chronic pain and long term disability.  Targeted stretching, strength training and facial line work is done in order to naturally align the body. We aim to break bad postural habits creating strength and flexibility in the appropriate places to relieve pain and prevent injury.


Various methods of meditation can be used to induce a sense of calm, bring relaxation, and increase mental acuity.  A meditation practice has been shown to alleviate stress, reduce and/or control anxiety,  promote mental health, improve memory and concentration, control pain, decrease blood pressure and fight addiction.  

These three parts of yoga therapy often overlap in practice.  Meditation requires some form of altered breathing technique, while physical manipulations require some form of concentration.

Every session is unique and targeted to the individual.  Before beginning a therapeutic yoga session I work with you to determine the best course of action based on your current health/injury and your goals.  A full health history is taken, physical testing is performed then appropriate therapies are discussed.

Gluten is a group of proteins present in wheat, rye and barley and their cross bred grains. The damage to the intestine can lead to a variety of symptoms and result in an inability of the body to absorb nutrients such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, which are necessary for good health."

Often diagnosis comes with the advice "Maintain a completely gluten free diet"... and that's pretty much it.  We are left to figure it out ourselves. 

I was lucky that I had a degree in Natural Medicine with an emphasis on nutrition when this diagnosis came. Even with that the transition was hard. Now I am here to help you heal and support you in every way needed.

Gluten Free Cooking Lessons

While many aspects of gluten free cooking come down to label reading there are parts that require a bit of science.

Cooking lessons can be one-on-one or in small groups.  All sessions will be targeted to your taste preferences.  In some cases additional individuals (local chefs) may be brought in to aid the session.

Yoga Classes

With over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training I offer a wide range of class styles.

  • Therapeutic Yoga
  • Beginner Hatha

Two styles of meditation classes are offered.

  1. Learn to Meditate: class includes both theory and practice. A variety of styles can be offered.
  2. Meditation Practice: Involves 5-10 minutes of mindful yoga to prep the body, followed by a guided relaxation and silent meditation.

I offer a range of health seminars to suit your needs.  Topics include but are not limited to natural health, nutrition, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, stress reduction...
